Sentient announces over 3,000 systems deployed, new CTO appointed

6th October 2020 – Sentient Vision Systems announced today at Xponential 2020 that with the latest sale of UAV systems for a large defence customer, they have now delivered over 3,000 of their autonomous detection solutions for EO and IR full motion video. Sentient’s solutions quickly and reliably find small, hard to see, moving objects on the ground, such as vehicles or people, and objects on the surface of the ocean such as fast boats, rubber rafts, fishing buoys and people in the water.

Sentient also announced the appointment of Mark Palmer as their new CTO. Mark joins Sentient following a 25 year career at BAE, Thales and Ocean Software where he led numerous technology innovations to successful leading edge solutions. “I am delighted to welcome Mark to the Sentient team”, said Dr Boxer. “Mark brings a wealth of experience to define and drive Sentient’s technical roadmap forward to further innovation in autonomous systems advancing the capability offering for our customers”. Based in their Melbourne, Australia office, Mark will lead Sentient’s technology and innovation with the Sentient team, customers and partners globally.
With over 3,000 systems deployed, Sentient’s solutions enhance the performance of EO/IR operations for defence, law enforcement, coast guard, search and rescue, public safety and many other agencies and forces worldwide.
