It has been a busy month for the fastest pilots in the Australian Army Drone Racing Team who are preparing to head to the United States to compete in the inaugural World X-Class drone racing championship in mid-November.
This world first event will be held in Dallas, Texas between 14 and 15 November 2019. It will see the top drone racers from around the globe battling it out for the coveted title of the X-Class World Champion title.
Supported by Sentient Vision Systems, Australian Army drone racers, Corporal Zak Martin-Taylor and Captain James Jenkins have been invited as a select group of pilots to compete on the international stage.
The Australian Army Drone Racing Team have been supported by Sentient Vision Systems since its inception in 2017 and the pilots have been strong competition at drone racing competitions throughout the country.
Sentient is proud to be a sponsor in supporting the team’s drone racers and help raise the profile of this emerging motor-sport in Australia. The Australian Army Drone Racing Team won the Military International Drone Racing Tournament in Sydney in 2018 and is set to defend its title in the next MIDRT set for Brisbane in 2020.

Sentient Vision Systems have been instrumental in supporting the Army drone racers getting to Dallas for the International championship. President of the Australian Army Drone Racing Association, Lieutenant-Colonel Keirin Joyce said that the belief and backing of Sentient in the team continues to benefit and build on the team’s success.

Before flying out to Texas next week, the Australian Army Drone Racing pilots will display their skill and talent at the RAAF Edinburgh Air Show drone racing competition in South Australia this weekend.
